Our latest Showcase event was highly successful in helping us highlight progress in our work to set new clinical standards for cancer services in Greater Manchester.
There is variation in the way cancer care is currently delivered which leads to delay and duplication.
Our project aims to standardise services so that patients receive the very highest standard of care wherever they live in Greater Manchester.
Dr Roger Prudham, Deputy Medical Director at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, leads this work for Vanguard Innovation and he set out his plans to record, measure and improve standards in cancer services.
Dr Prudham, pictured above, hosted the event and was joined by Dr Roland Valori, Clinical Director of Accreditation at the Royal College of Physicians. Dr Valori leads the Clinical Services Accreditation Alliance, a coalition of medical and other health professional organisations developing a strategy for more widespread accreditation of clinical services.
